NK ADAMANT Signs Supply Agreement with Seogwipo Medical Center for Multi-Place Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber

  • Secures public healthcare contract shortly after obtaining KGMP certification, strengthening its next growth engine
  • NK Group's deep-tech expertise in high-pressure safety systems, developed through submarine and hydrogen technologies, gains recognition in the medical sector

NK ADAMANT, NK Group's deep-tech subsidiary specializing in naval defense and medical technologies, has successfully secured its first public healthcare contract following its recent medical device manufacturing certification.

The company announced that it has been awarded a contract to supply a 12-person, 6.5 bar(g) Multi-Place Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Chamber to the Department of Emergency Medicine at Seogwipo Medical Center in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. This achievement is particularly significant as it comes shortly after NK ADAMANT obtained KGMP (Korea Good Manufacturing Practice) certification from the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR). The contract demonstrates the company's ability to translate its certified manufacturing and quality management system into tangible market success, validating both its technological capabilities and product reliability.

The newly supplied 12-person Multi-Place HBOT Chamber is designed to treat multiple patients simultaneously, significantly enhancing emergency response capabilities. Given Jeju's active maritime and diving environment, where hyperbaric oxygen therapy plays an essential role, the new chamber is expected to strengthen emergency medical services and public healthcare capacity throughout the southern region of Jeju.

According to the company, this achievement represents more than the successful delivery of medical equipment. It demonstrates that NK Group's high-pressure safety technologies—built over more than four decades through submarine high-pressure systems, industrial pressure vessels, and hydrogen energy solutions—have proven their competitiveness in the medical device industry. From design through manufacturing, the chamber is built in accordance with the globally recognized ASME STAMP standards for pressure vessels, ensuring exceptional structural integrity and safety. The system also incorporates a medical control system and patient treatment table optimized for clinical environments, providing a safe and reliable treatment experience for both patients and healthcare professionals.

An NK ADAMANT representative commented:

"Following our KGMP certification, securing this contract with Seogwipo Medical Center marks another important milestone in demonstrating our capabilities in real clinical environments. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers are highly sophisticated systems where precise pressure control and structural safety are fundamental. Leveraging NK Group's deep-tech expertise in high-pressure safety systems, we will continue to strengthen our differentiated position in the global medical device market."

Building on this achievement, NK ADAMANT plans to actively expand the supply of Multi-Place Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chambers to public hospitals and regional emergency medical centers throughout Korea. Looking ahead, the company aims to evolve beyond a chamber manufacturer into a next-generation medical high-pressure platform company by integrating advanced high-pressure safety technologies with medical devices while accelerating its expansion into global markets.
